Learning for Humanity (L4H) is committed to equitable access to education for Sisters and frontline health workers around the world. Because learners serve in very different economic contexts, a single flat fee would create barriers for many. To ensure fairness while sustaining program quality, L4H uses a tiered tuition model. Learners and organizations with greater access to financial resources contribute more, helping keep the program accessible to those serving in under-resourced settings.

For Organizations and Congregations
Organizations and congregations enrolling learners at the organizational rate, regardless of where the student is located, helps sustain the Learning for Humanity program by supporting:
- Course development and ongoing updates
- Platform, facilitation, and mentorship costs
- Partial and full scholarships for learners in low-resource settings
How Country Categories are Assigned
To ensure transparency and fairness, L4H uses the World Bank country's income classifications to determine tuition levels. Countries are categorized as high-income, middle-income, or low-income based on gross national income (GNI) per capita, as defined by the World Bank and updated annually. This widely used global standard helps ensure that tuition reflects broader economic context, rather than individual circumstances.
Partner Countries
Learners from selected partner countries have their tuition fully subsidized through Medicines for Humanity grants and donor support. Current partner countries include Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Malawi, Sudan, and Zambia.
