Our Work
MFH has been working in Haiti for more than 20 years strengthening clinics across the country to provide maternal and child health services, expand community health outreach, and support nutrition programs. MFH continues to build the capacity of healthcare providers through earthquakes, floods, political change, and civil unrest.
MFH works with partners in Haiti who operate clinics that provide critically needed health services to vulnerable children and their mothers. The majority of our collaborators are Congregations of Women Religious who are dedicated to serving even the poorest of the poor. We provide medical supplies and equipment, train Traditional Birth Attendants and Community Health Workers (CHWs), we distribute food supplements and help manage nutrition programs, and provide online learning opportunities to increase the capacity of clinical staff to manage and develop new health care initiatives.
