Our Work
MFH has been working in Cameroon since 2008 to increase the effectiveness and utilization of health services at more than 30 clinics. MFH is currently supporting 17 project sites in the North West and the South West of Cameroon. All are in regions devastated by the civil war that has been raging on since 2016. In some of these communities, MFH and our partners are the only ones providing health care services because other health facilities have been shut down and abandoned.
Despite these challenges of the war and violence, the dedicated MFH team and our devoted partners remain committed to our mission of saving the lives of children. MFH improves the capacity of clinics by providing staff training and supplying facilities with critically needed medicines, supplies, and equipment. We train and support Community Health Workers (CHWs), initiate economic strengthening activities to support CHWs and internally displaced people (IDPs), and provide humanitarian relief to hundreds of families affected by the conflict.
