Spreading Holiday Cheer to Underprivileged Kids in the DR

January 2019, Rockland, MA – Again this year, Robinson Cano’s RC24 Foundation partnered with Medicines for Humanity (MFH) to distribute toys to more than 1,000 children living below the poverty level in 12 bateyes (sugar cane communities) surrounding Quisqueya in the San Pedro de Macoris province of the country. This was the fourth year that MFH assisted RC24. To date, organizers estimate that more than 4,100 children have received holiday gifts through these efforts.

This year, Robinson and his mom, Claribel ā€œClaryā€ Mercedes joined the volunteers to help put smiles on the faces of the children. Elisa Avila, Medicines for Humanity’s Dominican Republic Country Coordinator organized the distribution for the bateyes.

Este fue el cuarto año en que MFH asistió a RC24. Hasta la fecha, los organizadores estiman que mÔs de 4,100 niños han recibido regalos de navidad a través de estos esfuerzos.
