MFH Continues Computer Training for Sisters in Cameroon

Medicines for Humanity (MFH) continues to work closely with Congregations of Catholic Sisters in North West and South West Cameroon to increase their capacity for saving vulnerable lives. Over the past five years, MFH has provided basic computer training to nearly 100 Sisters and their staff, equipping them with essential skills crucial to the success of their clinics’ health programs.

Most recently, MFH organized an 11-week computer course at Mount Mary Hospital in Buea, South West Cameroon. Despite challenges due to ongoing insecurity in the region, 18 participants from various communities, including 13 Sisters and 5 of their clinic staff, actively took part. They learned common Microsoft applications like Word, PowerPoint and Excel, email communication, and web browsing techniques.

These women are champions for maternal and child health care in vulnerable Cameroonian communities.  By empowering Sisters with computer skills, we hope to enhance maternal and child healthcare services offered in these underserved areas, ensuring better outcomes for all.
