MFH Sends Aid to Cameroon Refugees in Nigeria

Recently, Sr. Xaveria Ntenmusi, TSSF, recipient of the MFH Humanitarian of the Year Award and a valued and long-time MFH in-country project partner, reached out for assistance. She told us about her visit to a refugee camp in Nigeria where there are thousands of displaced people who have fled the violence from the political crisis in Anglophone Cameroon. According to Sr. Xaveria, “Most of them… their houses were burned… some of them… their husbands were killed… they are running with their children for survival.”

Medicines for Humanity responded by sending food, medicines, and non-food essential items to help the refugees survive.

Below is a link to a new article in the Global Sisters Report by Sr. Mary Nyuylem, TSSF, one of two Tertiary Sisters who have volunteered to relocate to the refugee settlements in Nigeria to respond to the needs of the refugees there.
