MFH Project Expands Access To Health Services In South Kordofan, Sudan

Nurse treating child at clinic

Through MFH’s project, in collaboration with the Mother of Mercy Hospital, located in the Nuba Mountains region of southern Sudan, four additional health clinics have been opened to serve people in the impoverished areas surrounding the hospital. This project has greatly increased access to healthcare for the children and families living in these outlying communities. Since they opened, the clinics are seeing nearly three times the number of children and other patients that was initially projected. Because of continuing hardships and ongoing hostilities in the region, the need for this life-saving care continues to be much greater than initially assessed.
