Emmanuel Mwewa Joins MFH Zambia Program Services Team

We are pleased to announce the addition of Emmanuel Mwewa to our Zambia country staff. Emmanuel will serve as Project Assistant to Gray Kawimbe, Zambia Country Coordinator, and will provide support for Medicines for Humanity’s “Mai Mbeleki” project at sites across the Eastern, Southern and Northern provinces. He will be primarily responsible for project monitoring and evaluation as well as the capacity building activities of the project. “Our Mai Mbeleki project has expanded considerably since its initial and very successful project stage,” observed MFH Program Services Director Kenneth Muko. “It is transforming health services in communities where we are working and Emmanuel will be instrumental as we continue to maintain and increase our ability to help more vulnerable children and families.”

Prior to joining MFH, he spent the last five years supporting a WASH youth and child-led initiative in Lusaka’s peri-urban communities of Chawama and Kanyama. His focus has been on the improvement of vital registration systems (VRS) for rural and urban settlements and increasing evidence-based, local interventions. Emmanuel has also been involved with promoting children’s rights initiatives in communities of the Northern and Copperbelt provinces of Zambia. Emmanuel has a Bachelor of Arts in Demography with Development Studies and Monitoring & Evaluation from the University of Zambia.
