Medicines for Humanity (MFH) is pleased to announce that Jennifer Martin has joined MFH as Development Manager. Jennifer began her career in the Peace Corps and eventually became an Emergency Nutrition Program Manager, working for an international aid agency. Most recently she was a Senior Grant Writer and Project Manager in the Development Department of Northeastern University in Boston.
Jennifer has worked and lived abroad in several countries where she provided assistance to underserved communities during crisis conditions. Some of these countries include Haiti, Sudan, Kenya, Angola, Niger, and Congo. She graduated with a B.A. in English and International Relations, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Massachusetts, earned an M.S. in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition (with a concentration in Humanitarian Assistance) from the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts. She has also been a guest lecturer at Boston University and Tufts University teaching students about nutrition in complex emergency situations.
When asked why she wanted to work at MFH, Jennifer explained, “Medicines for Humanity confronts the urgent and complex global health challenges of today by collaborating with health care providers and communities to strengthen health care interventions throughout the world.
